While on a visit to Southampton, Boris Johnson is asked to respond to Dave Merritt, whose son Jack was killed in the London Bridge attack on Friday and who urged politicians not to use the incident as a pretext to introduce more draconian penal policies. Without referring directly to the comments, the PM responds by saying his commitment to longer sentences for serious offenders was longstanding

  1. And I'm sorry but the make victims father saying his son wouldn't want this to be a reason terrorists are locked up for longer is silly. What will it take to convince these people that that terrorists won't change?

  3. The u.k. should sort it's law system on terrorists immediately and stop pretending it takes so much time to change laws . How many people have to die because of ignorant laws , politicians and judges pretending this is how it is . Your killing innocent people for heaven's sake , it's a sad disgrace to every one that ever did anything to fight for this country , and it now seems the laws and people that govern us have become our enemies to ……
