Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.

Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness – a global spiritual awakening.

Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.

In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

  1. ET clearly points out in the beginning, that the middle way ( here: balance between compassion AND wisdom) would cause challenges, but haveing compassion with the refugees/ open borders would cause huge ones.
I was curious about his point of view. And now I’m kind of happy to see all the critics here! Actually they point of view is not different to ET’s at all. Only difference he is not attached to anything.

  2. Great speech, Thank You Eckhart. We can call our self lucky to live in a certain country, and we did borne in to a some kind of culture. The culture is not ours. We live in it but not ours. Sometimes people do not like there own culture, and they are leaving the country. This country could be France, Great Britain, Germany, USA, Hungary, Greece, Afghanistan etc….If someone move from the US to France, can have a culture shock (or the other way around). You do not have to be a Syrian refugee, to experience the unfriendliness of some people in any country. Yes, the difference it's in the way of life, the difference lot more between a german citizen and a Syrian refugee. It is hard for both parties…..I see that! What I do know is , nothing last forever even this "crisis" will be a thing of past, maybe sooner than we think. Focus on what we need to or can do, not to creating fear and anxiety. The European Union and many other country's working on this crisis, try to find solution. The solution is always coming, help is always there, but……can we see it, and realize it? Or we are to busy creating fear and anxiety……..Like I sad, nothing last forever, this crisis will be a thing of the past like
all the other crisis in the past. One thing is consistence in the universe and that is change, eighter we like it or not. It is always happening, continuously here in the now…..Thanks Eckhart

  3. good answer, what a great overview of the development and current regression of present consciousness in regards the needs of others. If you don't get his answer or are made angry by it then you are totally locked in to your vanity and ego.

  4. Europeans totally lost the sense of oneness. We are all one. If you feel you're better than other people, you will have to deal with them on different levels. That's the reason of the refugees in Europe. Universe doesn't make mistakes. It is only ego that feels bothered by that.

  5. If you don’t want refugees don’t create them …. so you want probably … younger generation usually the best talent from the other countries coming to work there usually at young age ….. early 20s ….. obviously when you buy lots of apples there r some rotten too but you get mostly good apples….: the mentality of fear keeps on creating separation. Now it s not even limited to non Europeans … look at how British want separation from fellow Europeans too …. so interesting and actually a sign of intolerance at all levels of cultures
