With the emergence of the Corona Virus/COVID-19 and focused media attention we wanted to share with you the steps we have taken to address this virus as well as others. Prior to the media attention Silver Reef has adhered to a stringent cleaning standard for the entire resort. Silver Reef utilizes disinfectants and state of the art technology that can eliminate 99.9% of viruses.
Although the Centers for Disease Control states, “the risk to the general public is low” and there are no known cases in Whatcom County, we continue to focus on cleanliness at our resort to minimize the risk to our Team Members and guests. We have increased the number of disinfecting stations throughout the resort and are utilizing additional staff to clean and disinfect public areas. We will continue to monitor for best practices from the CDC and instruct Team Members to follow established protocols to prevent the spread of viruses. Silver Reef encourages staff and guests alike who may not be feeling well to follow CDC best practices and stay home.
In addition to the above noted actions, we are distributing sanitizing products to our Reef Reward Members. These products meet the FDA standards and provide another level of comfort to our guests. Guests will be allowed one item per day while supplies last.
We will continue to be vigilant in our disinfection efforts and keep working with Tribal, local, state and national agencies on best practices during this outbreak. As always, the health of our team members and guests is our greatest priority.
