Hundreds of protesters gathered in London and Berlin on Sunday in solidarity with U.S. demonstrators who have been rallying over the death of George Floyd.
In London, protesters knelt in Trafalgar Square, chanting “No justice, no peace,” and then marched past the Houses of Parliament – ending outside the U.S. Embassy.
Demonstrators also staged a rally outside the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, holding up posters and signs calling for justice for Floyd.
Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, Minn. on Monday after a police officer pressed his knee on his neck for several minutes.
The death of Floyd triggered a tide of protests in the United States, unleashing long-simmering rage over racial bias in the U.S. criminal justice system.
